Don Locke’s Hazy & The 18th is an interstellar fever dream — part sci-fi odyssey, part absurdist comedy, and entirely unlike anything you’ve read before. Imagine The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy having tea with Alice in Wonderland on a windswept Scottish island.
Hazy & The 18th - This book is a delightfully strange and imaginative sci-fi adventure that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It blends cosmic chaos with witty humor, quirky characters, and unexpected heart, making the journey feel fun and unpredictable.
This is the second book I've read now by Don Locke, and like his other book The Afterlife and Times of Femi...Hazy and The 18th is a clever and satirical look at a complex topic. This book starts with mysterious lights in Scotland before turning into a crazy journey into outer space. There are lots of unexpected twists and Don has a great command of diction, it was a pleasure to read.
